We are recruiting:

  • General Operatives – Production, Crisping House (Crisp Factory).
  • Please note full training with be provided.

The roles involve working on the production line, quality control of product, packing and loading product for distribution etc. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail.

 

Location: Keogh’s Crisps, Wespalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin

 

Key Areas of The Role:

  • Working on the production lines, you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Setting up machines and bagging product.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Reporting and addressing issues of quality and safety.
  • Adhering to HACCP and Health and safety practices at all times.
  • Ensuring the workstation is kept in excellent order with regards to housekeeping.
  • Using lifting equipment, pallet trucks and/ forklift trucks (not all roles).
  • General Factory duties.

 

Working Hours:

  • Crisps are rostered for 3 days on 4 days off (Full-time hours over 3 days).

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Manual work experience.
  • Own transport as no public transport available in the area.
  • Good team work skills.
  • Good Communication Skills.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Farm Operative with experience driving Tractors, Forklifts and Farm Machinery to join our Farm Team at Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative team and to develop your farming knowledge.

The role involves working on the Farm and in the Yard area.

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent tractor, forklift and farm machinery driver.
  • Capable of working as part of a team and individually.
  • Key player in the growing and management of the crop.
  • Strong knowledge of/ an interest in agriculture.
  • Ability to keep up to date with innovative farming trends and future developments/processes.
  • General farm duties as the business dictates.

 

Essential Requirements

  • 3 Years + experience.
  • Tractor driving experience essential.
  • Flexibility to work different overtime and bank holidays as the business dictates.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be familiar with modern farming practices, requirements and legislation.
  • Excellent work ethic.

Keogh's Crisps - Assistant Production Supervisor

Purpose Of The Role:

The Assistant Production Supervisor will assist the Supervisor to ensure that all products and processes are managed and completed in compliance with specifications, legal and statutory obligations, customer requirements and to the highest quality standards throughout the product life cycle.

The successful candidate will support the Production Supervisor in the supervision of employees to lead the team effectively.

 

Reporting to:

  • Production Supervisor and Production Manager.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in managing and prioritising production activities to meet the demands of the business.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor and cross functionally with all Crisping House teams in terms of supporting production plans and ensuring that all products are of the highest standard.
  • Ensure that production safety and quality standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Work with the Production Supervisor, Production and QA Managers to ensure that the production facility meets food safety requirements and to ensure that best manufacturing practises (BMP) meet and exceed customer and Health Service Executive standards.
  • Monitor production and product standards. Conform to the company HACCP plan.  Report and respond effectively and efficiently to all non-conformances with appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Production Supervisor / Production Manager / Quality Assurance Manager immediately.
  • Be a leader and support the Supervisor in the Continuous Development of the team. Provide the production team with direction, training and coaching to achieve work objectives and to improve performance and skills.
  • Drive and encourage a Culture of Continuous Improvement within the team.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed to meet the business requirements.
  • Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products.

 

Working Hours:

  • Crisps are rostered for 3 days on 4 days off (Full-time hours over 3 days).

 

Skills/ Attributes/ Experience

  • Leaving Cert qualification or related on the job experience.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing.
  • Self-starter with the capability to show drive and resilience to take initiative in a demanding environment.
  • Must have good people leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate all employees.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
  • Team-player with cross functional collaboration.

Keogh's Crisps - Production Operative / Deputy Quality Control Operative

Purpose Of The Role:

The Quality Control Operative – Deputy is a support role to the QC Operatives and will provide cover if a QC operative is on annual leave, out sick and when assistance is required in QC.

Responsible for performing quality inspection work in the Crisping House, ensuring that food products are fit for purpose; that they are produced safely, legally and are of the quality and standard expected by management and customers alike. Working as part of a team under the supervision of the Production Manager carrying out several tasks within the same shift, you can be starting, operating, tending, stopping, and cleaning machines. You will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

 

Reporting to:

  • QC Operative and team.
  • Production Supervisors and Manager

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Adhering to HACCP practices at all times.
  • Operating and monitoring the Quality Control Table / Intake Quality Control Table.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Carrying out daily quality testing on raw and finished product as outlined by the Quality Assurance Manager in accordance with the Production Manager and Production Supervisor.
  • Checking and verifying quality control procedures from the raw material stage through to the finished product.
  • Reporting and addressing issues of quality and safety.
  • Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency of flavour, colour and texture in large quantities.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Production Manager, Supervisor or Quality Assurance Manager immediately.

 

Working Hours:

  • Crisps are rostered for 3 days on 4 days off (Full-time hours over 3 days).

 

Skills/ Attributes/ Experience:

  • Leaving Cert qualification or related on the job experience.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing.
  • Ability to multitask and display exceptional organisational skills.
  • Self-starter with the capability to show drive and resilience to take initiative in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
  • Team-player with cross functional collaboration.
