Keogh's Crisps General Operative

DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives for our Crisping House, Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. The role involves working on the production line, quality control of product, packing and loading product for distribution. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

Key Areas Of The Role

•  Adhering to HACCP and Health and safety practices at all times.
•  Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery.
•  Starting, operating, tending, stopping, and cleaning machines as well as assembling the finished product for storage.
•  Loading and unloading items from machines, boxes, production lines, pallets etc.
•  Packing finished stock into boxes and labelling accordingly.
•  Complete product checks and record data.
• Reporting equipment faults / product issues to the Production Manager / Quality Assurance Manager.
• Liaising and assisting the Warehouse & Dispatch Operatives in relation to the storing of goods and raw materials in the factory and / or warehouse.
• Using lifting equipment, pallet trucks and forklift trucks.

Essential Requirements
•  Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and bank holidays as the business requires.
•  Manual work experience.
•  Own transport as no public transport available in the area.
•  Good team work skills.
•  Fork lift experience an advantage.
•  Fluent English.

Systems Co-Ordinator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Systems Co-Ordinator will be a centralised first point of contact to support all of the business’s in-house systems.  You will support all departments in a timely and efficient manner. The Co-Ordinator provides technical and administrative assistance to all employees. The role is an interactive role and involves daily communication with both internal employees and specialist partners. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a busy and rewarding environment.

 

REPORTING TO

The Head of Operations and the Quality Assurance Manager

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the management, maintenance and development of all internal systems including our Integrated ERP System.
  • Manage Internal and Certification body audits and outcomes.
  • Ability to identify and recommend new processes and training requirement.
  • Design, maintenance and communication of system and process performance metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Troubleshooting user issues.
  • Managing data requests via email, telephone, face-to-face.
  • Escalating issues when necessary.
  • To co-ordinate information from various departments and establish a control centre for policies and procedures regarding correspondence, memos and the handling of data.
  • Managing data and information for the different departments within the business.
  • Recommend new software to aid the business.
  • Provide training and support on system issues and improvement activities as required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with co-workers and employees to investigate non-conformance, policies and procedures, record management, information services and data management.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Third level – IT, Business, Systems qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience in the operation of an ERP System in a production environment is desirable.
  • IT literate, with proven experience of systems and network support.
  • Ability to recommend and implement improvements, new policies and processes, always with product excellence in mind. Reviewing these and revising as necessary.
  • Ability to recommend &/ implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Strong office and organisational skills, including proven experience of managing work/projects to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with strong problem solving ability.

Order Processing & Sales Administrator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Order Processing & Sales Administrator is a vital part of the supply chain process and is responsible for the order capture, planning, coordinating, administration, monitoring and distribution for Keogh’s Crisps. You will also act as sales admin support for Keogh’s Crisps and Peter Keogh & Sons Farm Ltd. You will facilitate the smooth running of the organisation with your excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

 

REPORTING TO

Head of Operations and Sales & Business Development Managers – Domestic and Export.

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Planning, coordinating and monitoring the order process and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Provision of administrative support to the Sales Managers and Sales team.
  • Responding efficiently to customer product and sales queries via telephone and e-mail.
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Liaise with the sales team, crisp production manager, warehouse & dispatch operatives, customers and suppliers regarding deliveries, & other issues.
  • Planning vehicle routes & liaising with haulage companies, troubleshooting of any delivery issues that may arise.
  • Assuring that correct paperwork and labels are placed on both national and international shipping pallets andPrint all pages in this section ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office, Sage, Diomac, WASP, eOrder etc., for order processing and documentation.
  • Producing documents, briefs, presentations, written and financial reports for the sales team.
  • Ad-hoc office duties, data entry, reporting, scanning & filing when required.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Third level qualification desirable.
  • 2 to 3 years order processing / general administration experience in a busy environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills, experience of communicating confidently at all levels.
  • Strong computer skills with excellent experience of Microsoft Office, experience of using sales databases such as WASP/CRM for report writing purposes.
  • Self-starter with the capability to show drive and resilience to take initiative in a demanding environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised and excellent ability to handle pressure and deal with conflicting priorities.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team
