General Operative - Production

The Role:

You will be working in our Crisping House producing our award winning crisps. You will work on the production line, monitoring the quality control of products, packing and loading product for distribution. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

Key Areas Of The Role:

  • Adhering to HACCP and Health and safety practices at all times.
  • Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery.
  • Starting, operating, tending, stopping, and cleaning machines as well as assembling the finished product for storage.
  • Loading and unloading items from machines, boxes, production lines, pallets etc.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Packing finished stock into boxes and labelling accordingly.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Complete product checks and record data.
  • Reporting equipment faults / product issues to the Production Manager / Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Liaising and assisting the Warehouse & Dispatch Operatives in relation to the storing of goods and raw materials in the factory and / or warehouse.
  • Using lifting equipment, pallet trucks and forklift trucks.

Essential Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and bank holidays as the business requires.
  • Manual work experience.

Own transport is essential, as there is no public transport available in the area.

  • Good team work skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Excellent work ethic.

Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of your Role is to take ownership in providing technical support to our production facility and to provide various maintenance tasks such as machines maintenance and repair, fault finding and troubleshooting, continuous production process improvement and implementing various preventative maintenance programmes. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and utilities in compliance with the Company’s Quality standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To carry out a range of technical duties to cover mechanical, electrical and some general building fabric maintenance.
  • Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues, to maximise equipment uptime.
  • Servicing of electrical, mechanical and non-technical equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance checklists are updated regularly.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as per the Maintenance department planned schedule and manage.
  • Ability to manage department budget and costs.
  • Spare parts identification and regular stocktaking.
  • Mentor production employees by providing technical advice and support in order to achieve maximum machine performance.
  • Liaise with production team in order to improve line yields and overall quality of products.
  • Ensure compliance at all times with Health and Safety and legislative requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • 5 Years’ experience in industrial maintenance environment preferably within food industry.
  • Diploma/ trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Possess the discipline to execute tasks without procrastination.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety precautions.
  • Methodical, analytical and enthusiastic approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills, including proven experience of managing work/projects to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proven experience of successful negotiation and influencing colleagues.
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations efficiently and professionally, using sound judgment.

Senior Brand Manager

Keogh’s Farm are searching for an experienced marketeer to join their growing team of Brand Storytellers on the Family Farm in North County Dublin.

 Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience rooted in Brand Management, and a passion for Breaking New Ground with imaginative and actionable marketing initiatives.

A Flavour of what you’ll be doing:

Campaign Management: Lead the development and co-ordination of key Campaigns in the Keogh’s marketing calendar, with activity both above and below the line.

NPD: Be a key member of the Product Innovation Team, supporting the delivery of existing projects, and shaping future ones.

Shopper Marketing: Lead the development of in-store shopper marketing activations and Commercial Innovation.

Category Analysis: Support in the analysis of Retailer, Consumer, and Shopper Data to evaluate the performance of Marketing Campaigns and NPD initiatives.

Budget Management: Planning and Evaluating spend to ensure Campaigns and Projects are delivered on budget.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Brand Marketing experience.

  • Experience planning and executing Brand Marketing campaigns through the line is required.
  • Product Innovation and the ‘Go to Market’ process from idea to execution.
  • Proven data analysis & interpreting EPOS data experience (e.g. Talysis, Nielsen, Dunnhumby, EYC etc.)
  • Experience with digital marketing, including social media management and influencer marketing.
  • Exposure to E-Commerce is desirable.
  • Export Marketing (e.g. USA) experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience managing PR and Media agencies.

  • Must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to own vehicle.

Sales - Territory Manager (Munster Region)

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the Territory Managers role will be to drive sales and support the on-going growth and development of Keogh’s products through merchandising, maximisation of in-store space, generating product awareness, new product launches, implementing promotions, identifying new leads and channels initially within the Kerry, North Cork, Tipperary & Waterford region. You will represent the brand in a positive and professional manner, must be career focused and show attributes of leadership, high organisational skills and a determination to be the very best.

 

Key Areas Of The Role

  • Visit retail customers to generate orders, drive distribution, drive visibility and display, activate promotions, conduct retail audits, ensuring range implementation and planogram compliance.
  • Utilising WASP to capture market data.
  • Work closely with and review a call file and plan an efficient journey plan.
  • Ensure stock is rotated effectively and the high attention to detail is implemented across all stores in order to achieve distribution and visibility targets.
  • Setting and achievement of merchandising standards.
  • Ensuring the successful launch of N.P.D. into the market.
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects through targeted cold calling with a view to arranging meetings with potential customers
  • Managing seasonal activities and promotional activation.
  • Development of key trade relationships at store, regional and group level.

 

The ideal Candidate will Have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Sales and merchandising experience within FMCG across all trade channels (preferably in the food industry).
  • Recent qualification in business, marketing, or other related field desirable.
  • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail point of sale software.
  • Monitor and reporting of key account performance, case sale volume, rate of sale, promotional mix, risk, cost, retail and profit analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise high impact activities and multi-task complex projects and deliver results.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Evidence of tenacity and the ability to follow through on commitment.
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours and national travel is a requirement.
  • Exposure to developing relationship with clients and creating new business.
  • Full, valid, clean B category driver’s licence essential.
