Purpose Of The Role:
Working closely with the Production Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, the Supervisor ensures that all products and processes are managed and completed in compliance with specifications, legal and statutory obligations, customer requirements and highest quality standards throughout the product life cycle. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision of employees where strong leadership skills are required for the effective supervision of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritise production activities to meet the demands of the business.
- Work cross functionally with all factory teams in terms of planning and ensuring that all products are of the highest standard.
- Ensure production safety and quality standards are accomplished.
- Taking an active part in day-to-day problem solving on the process and in more focused process improvement projects.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the production facility meets food safety requirements and to ensure that best manufacturing practises (BMP) meet and exceed customer and Health Service Executive standards.
- Monitor production and product standards. Conform to the company HACCP plan. Respond effectively and efficiently to all non-conformances with appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Production Manager / Quality Assurance Manager immediately.
- Provide the production team with leadership, direction, training and coaching to achieve work objectives and to improve performance and skills.
- Being a leader in the Continuous Improvement ambitions of the business and encouraging this continuous improvement culture with the team.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to meet the business requirements.
- Protect all intellectual property, information and technology surrounding confidential processes and products.
Skills/ Attributes/ Experience:
- Leaving Cert qualification or related on the job experience.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Self-starter with the capability to show drive and resilience to take initiative in a demanding environment.
- Must have good people leadership, management and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate all employees.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with strong attention to detail.
- Team-player with cross functional collaboration.
