Purpose of Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with 1 – 2 years’ experience to join our Talent team. The position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their skills in a highly challenging, fast paced and rewarding environment. As a member of the Talent team your main responsibility will be to provide essential support for the successful implementation of our Talent initiatives including; Talent Management, Values & Culture, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support with our Talent Acquisition process including; screening candidates, organising interviews and relevant correspondence in line with our Business requirements.
  • Co-ordinate Employee Induction Programmes.
  • Maintain our Time Management & HR databases to ensure all files are up to date and accurate.
  • Effective management of the administration relating to our Performance Management System & Career Path Development Programme.
  • Researching, organising, recording & reporting training.
  • Assist and support our training audit process.
  • Compiling and generating weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reports.
  • Provide general administrative support such as filing, scanning, correspondence etc.
  • Organising various meetings, note taking and minute distribution.
  • Assist the talent team with Employee HR query resolution.
  • Implementation and maintenance of employee policies & procedures.
  • Co-ordination of our People & Values Calendar & various wellbeing initiatives.
  • Other duties related to HR administration as the business needs dictate.

The Ideal Candidate will possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • Third-Level Degree in Human Resources or relevant discipline.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well on all levels.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent analytical & report writing skills.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written.

Keogh's - Quality Assurance Manager

Purpose Of The Job:

The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure that all products and processes are safe, in compliance with specifications, legal and statutory obligations, customer requirements and to the highest quality standards throughout the product life cycle.  The QA Manager will develop and manage an effective Quality Management System ensuring adequate training and development of the production teams in consultation and collaboration with The Quality team, The Crisping House Production Manager and The Head of Operations.

Key Areas Of The Role:

  • Monitor and ensure all aspects of the Food Safety and Quality Management System are implemented across the site.
  • Provide sound QA and Compliance support and training to quality resources to ensure quality decisions, oversight and activities are delivered to a consistently compliant standard for all key new product introductions, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and legislation i.e. HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, GMP, food labelling and emerging food safety risks.
  • Collaborate with and continually develop professional relationships with management, production team, suppliers, and customers.
  • Lead audits & ensure compliance with DAFM, HSE, BRC (Keoghs Crisps and PKS Farms), SHAS (packer and grower), Halal and Customer Requirements etc.
  • Manage customer complaints, root-cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Drive and promote a culture of Quality Excellence and Continuous Improvement across the business.
  • Reviewing and updating documentation, product specification and NCR. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Working with the customers on new product development and on various customer portals.
  • Reviewing and amending SOP procedures.
  • Leading H&S meeting and H&S on site including scheduling internal audits, accident investigation reports and update all relevant documentation .
  • Compiling and generating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science or equivalent discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in technical role in similar or related industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop our Quality Team.
  • Proven experience of quality assurance in a similar environment, including the development of products, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with required standards (legal, food safety and company).
  • Working knowledge of conducting internal audits, developing customer questionnaires, gathering, and analysing data, recommending and implementing improvements, new policies and processes, always with product excellence in mind. Reviewing these and revising as necessary.
  • Ability to recommend &/ implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Capability of ensuring our production facility meets food safety requirements and best manufacturing practises (BMP).
  • Strong organisational skills, including proven experience of managing work/projects to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, including proven experience of successful negotiation and influencing customers and colleagues.

Keogh’s Crisps – Territory Manager (South East & South Leinster Region)

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the Territory Manager’s role will be to drive sales and support the on-going growth and development of Keogh’s products through merchandising, maximisation of in-store space, generating product awareness, new product launches, implementing promotions, identifying new leads and channels initially within the South East & South Leinster Region. You will represent the brand in a positive and professional manner, must be career focused and show attributes of leadership, high organisational skills and a determination to be the very best.

 

Key Areas Of The Role

Visit retail customers to generate orders, drive distribution, drive visibility and display, activate promotions, conduct retail audits, ensuring range implementation and planogram compliance.

Utilising WASP to capture market data.

Work closely with and review a call file and plan an efficient journey plan.

Ensure stock is rotated effectively and that high attention to detail is implemented across all stores in order to achieve distribution and visibility targets.

Setting and achievement of merchandising standards.

Ensuring the successful launch of N.P.D. into the market.

  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects through targeted cold calling with a view to arranging meetings with potential customers.
  • Managing seasonal activities and promotional activations.
  • Development of key trade relationships at store, regional and group level.

 

The ideal Candidate will Have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Sales and Merchandising experience within FMCG across all trade channels (preferably in the food industry).
  • Recent qualification in business, marketing, or other related field desirable.
  • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail point of sale software.
  • Monitor and reporting of key account performance, case sale volume, rate of sale, promotional mix, risk, cost, retail and profit analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise high impact activities and multi-task complex projects and deliver results.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Evidence of tenacity and the ability to follow through on commitment.
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours and national travel is a requirement.
  • Exposure to developing relationship with clients and creating new business.
  • Full, valid, clean B category driver’s licence is essential.

The Role:

The Warehouse & Dispatch Operative is a vital part of the supply chain process and is responsible for the planning, coordinating, administration, monitoring, order assembly and dispatch of goods in the production factory and warehouse. To achieve this you will manage processes and systems both manual and automated.

Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

They ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

REPORTING TO

  • Warehouse and Dispatch Supervisor

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

Production Administration

  • Receiving orders, stock quantities, processing orders and estimating lead times.
  • Coordinating the use of manual and computerised systems where utilised.
  • Liaising with the Order Processing & Accounts Administrator as necessary.
  • Responding to internal communication by email and telephone.
  • Producing regular stock take reports and statistics on a monthly basis.

Stock Control

  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Stocking the warehouse from the production factory floor.
  • Pulling finished goods from each storage location with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Picking & checking orders.

Housekeeping

  • Transport of goods between on-site warehouses in a forklift or pallet truck.
  • Loading customer’s orders onto trucks, vans etc.
  • Liaise with the Dispatch Supervisor, Production Manager, Order Processing & Accounts Administrator, customers & suppliers regarding deliveries, shortfalls & other issues.
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Loading, unloading and storing of raw materials and finished product.
  • Loading and unloading items from machines, boxes, production lines, pallets etc.

Keogh's Farm - General Operative - Product Inspection, Potato Pack House

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a General Operative – Product Inspection role for our Potato Pack House, Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. The role involves working on the production line, inspecting and checking the quality of our products, in line with company standards. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

REPORTING TO: Pack House Manager and Inspection Supervisor

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Working on the Potato inspection line, you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Reporting and addressing issues of quality and safety.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Pack House Managers.
  • Ensuring the workstation is kept in excellent order with regards to housekeeping.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from the production facility as required.
  • General Pack House duties.

Essential Requirements

  • Flexibility to work different overtime and bank holidays.
  • Manual work experience.
  • Own transport as no public transport available in the area.
  • Good team work skills.
  • Good understanding of the English language.
  • Excellent work ethic.

Other Aspects

  • There is a requirement for employees to work weekends and bank holidays as the business requires.
  • There is a requirement that all staff be available to work for the entire months of November and December. During this time no annual leave will be granted, only in exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of the employer.
