We are recruiting:

  • General Operatives – Production, Crisping House (Crisp Factory).
  • Please note full training with be provided.

The roles involve working on the production line, quality control of product, packing and loading product for distribution etc. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail.

 

Key Areas of The Role:

  • Working on the production lines, you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Setting up machines and bagging product.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Reporting and addressing issues of quality and safety.
  • Adhering to HACCP and Health and safety practices at all times.
  • Ensuring the workstation is kept in excellent order with regards to housekeeping.
  • Using lifting equipment, pallet trucks and/ forklift trucks (not all roles).
  • General Factory duties.

 

Working Hours:

  • Crisps are rostered for 3 days on 4 days off (Full-time hours over 3 days).

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Manual work experience.
  • Own transport as no public transport available in the area.
  • Good team work skills.
  • Good Communication Skills.

Job Description:

Keogh’s Crisps are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician, at Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. The role involves working on the Quality team checking the quality of our products in line with company standards. You will be working as part of a team, applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a busy and rewarding environment.

 

Location: Keogh’s Crisps, Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin

 

Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager

 

Job Summary:

  • Day to day management of HACCP and Quality Control procedures in order to ensure product safety and quality.
  • Completion of quality records to ensure that all products, packed and stored by the business meet the highest food safety and quality standards.
  • Ensuring customer and specification requirements are achieved on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the delivery of site standards, ensure all areas are audit ready at all times.
  • Knowledgeable of product specification and plant quality procedures.
  • Actively encourage Food Safety Culture initiatives within all Departments.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • No experience needed in Quality control. Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience in a food environment.
  • Ability to learn and understand HACCP principals.
  • Good attention to detail is vital.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure.

Keogh's Crisps - Quality Systems Co-Ordinator

Reporting To:

  • Technical Manager

 

Key Areas Of The Role:

  • Maintain, update, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, GMP, BRC, SHAS, FDA, and relevant Irish/EU regulations.
  • Ensure all product, process, packaging, and labelling controls meet legal and customer requirements, including FDA regulations for exported products.
  • Support ongoing Compliance with company policies, food safety standards and emerging regulatory changes.
  • Drive and promote a culture of Quality Excellence, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement across the business.
  • Assist with the preparation for, participation in, and follow-up from external audits and inspections (DAFM, HSE, FDA, BRC, Bord Bia, Halal, Customer audits).
  • Conduct internal audits, prepare audit reports, and track completion of follow-up actions.
  • Central to the creation and maintenance of product specifications for new and existing products.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer technical queries, complaints, product information requests, and specification updates.
  • Monitor customer complaints, perform root-cause investigations, and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare technical data or documentation required for customer audits, tenders, or information requests.
  • Support reporting for internal reviews, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with production, NPD, suppliers, customers, and company leadership.
  • Partner with the H&S Manager to ensure integration of QMS requirements into Health & Safety systems.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or equivalent discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in technical role in similar or related industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to lead, coach and develop our Quality Team.
  • Proven experience of quality assurance in a similar environment, including the development of products, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with required standards (legal, food safety and company).
  • Working knowledge of conducting internal audits, developing customer questionnaires, gathering, and analysing data, recommending and implementing improvements, new policies and processes.
  • Familiarity with customer and regulatory audit processes (e.g., HACCP, BRC, FDA, HSE, DAFM and Bord Bia).
  • Experience with ERP or quality management software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a growing and changing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, including proven experience of managing work/projects to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven experience of successful negotiation and influencing customers and colleagues.

🎓 Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in NPD or Innovation roles, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, food sector.
  • Experience within R&D Tax Credits processes and measurement, desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, regulatory frameworks, and quality systems.Proven track record of delivering successful product launches.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams and project portfolios.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a passion for food and innovation with strong commercial awareness and drive for bringing viable ideas to life.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Creative problem‑solving and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑development capabilities.
  • Strong computer skills with excellent experience of Microsoft Office, NPD/Food specification systems.
  • High level of adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
