DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives for our Crisping House, Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin. The role involves working on the production line, quality control of product, packing and loading product for distribution. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

Key Areas Of The Role

•  Adhering to HACCP and Health and safety practices at all times.
•  Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery.
•  Starting, operating, tending, stopping, and cleaning machines as well as assembling the finished product for storage.
•  Loading and unloading items from machines, boxes, production lines, pallets etc.
•  Packing finished stock into boxes and labelling accordingly.
•  Complete product checks and record data.
• Reporting equipment faults / product issues to the Production Manager / Quality Assurance Manager.
• Liaising and assisting the Warehouse & Dispatch Operatives in relation to the storing of goods and raw materials in the factory and / or warehouse.
• Using lifting equipment, pallet trucks and forklift trucks.

Essential Requirements
•  Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and bank holidays as the business requires.
•  Manual work experience.
•  Own transport as no public transport available in the area.
•  Good team work skills.
•  Fork lift experience an advantage.
•  Fluent English.

Systems Co-Ordinator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Systems Co-Ordinator will be a centralised first point of contact to support all of the business’s in-house systems.  You will support all departments in a timely and efficient manner. The Co-Ordinator provides technical and administrative assistance to all employees. The role is an interactive role and involves daily communication with both internal employees and specialist partners. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual to join a focused team in a busy and rewarding environment.

 

REPORTING TO

The Head of Operations and the Quality Assurance Manager

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the management, maintenance and development of all internal systems including our Integrated ERP System.
  • Manage Internal and Certification body audits and outcomes.
  • Ability to identify and recommend new processes and training requirement.
  • Design, maintenance and communication of system and process performance metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Troubleshooting user issues.
  • Managing data requests via email, telephone, face-to-face.
  • Escalating issues when necessary.
  • To co-ordinate information from various departments and establish a control centre for policies and procedures regarding correspondence, memos and the handling of data.
  • Managing data and information for the different departments within the business.
  • Recommend new software to aid the business.
  • Provide training and support on system issues and improvement activities as required.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with co-workers and employees to investigate non-conformance, policies and procedures, record management, information services and data management.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Third level – IT, Business, Systems qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience in the operation of an ERP System in a production environment is desirable.
  • IT literate, with proven experience of systems and network support.
  • Ability to recommend and implement improvements, new policies and processes, always with product excellence in mind. Reviewing these and revising as necessary.
  • Ability to recommend &/ implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Strong office and organisational skills, including proven experience of managing work/projects to agreed timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with strong problem solving ability.

Sales & Business Developer

Keogh’s Crisps is currently recruiting for a Sales & Business Developer. Keogh’s are the fastest growing crisp brand in a busy and competitive market.

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the Sales & Business Developer role is to drive sales and support the on-going growth and development of Keogh’s Crisps through merchandising, maximisation of in-store space, generating product awareness, new product launches, implementing promotions, identifying new leads and channels initially within the North Dublin, North Leinster, Cavan & Monaghan region. You will represent the brand in a positive and professional manner, must be career focused and show attributes of leadership, high organisational skills and a determination to be the very best.

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Visit retail customers to generate orders, drive distribution, drive visibility and display, activate promotions, conduct retail audits, ensuring range implementation and planogram compliance.
  • Utilising WASP to capture market data.
  • Work closely with and review a call file and plan an efficient journey plan.
  • Ensure stock is rotated effectively and the high attention to detail is implemented
  • across all stores in order to achieve distribution and visibility targets.
  • Setting and achievement of merchandising standards.
  • Ensuring the successful launch of N.P.D. into the market.
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects through targeted cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers
  • Managing seasonal activities and promotional activation.
  • Development of key trade relationship at store, regional and group level.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ Sales and merchandising experience within FMCG across all trade channels (preferably in the Irish Food manufacturing industry).
  • Recent qualification in business, marketing, or other related field desirable.
  • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail point of sale software.
  • Monitor and reporting of key account performance, case sale volume, rate of sale, promotional mix, risk, cost, retail and profit analysis.
  • Ability to prioritise high impact activities and multi-task complex projects and deliver results.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Evidence of tenacity and the ability to follow through on commitment.
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours and national travel is a requirement.
  • Exposure to developing relationship with Clients and creating new business.
  • Full, valid, clean B category driver’s licence essential.

Brand Ambassador

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Brand Ambassador is responsible for representing Keogh’s Crisps for various marketing and promotional campaigns including trade shows, various food fairs and in-store tastings.  Working independently and as part of a team, the Brand Ambassador runs off-site promotional marketing events to increase awareness of the brand and help increase sales.

 

REPORTING TO

Lead Brand Ambassador and Events Co-ordinator.

 

OTHER KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

– Marketing Manager, Business Development and Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager & Sales Representatives.

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Work with the Lead Brand Ambassador and Events Co-ordinator to develop action plans for promotional activities.
  • Carry out business analysis to identify areas of potential growth and market trends.
  • Maintaining and updating customer databases;
  • Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups;
  • Attending meetings and sharing ideas at brainstorming sessions.
  • Adhering to prescribed or assigned coverage plan.
  • Ensuring that customers are sufficiently merchandised by advising on required stock and shelves through leading and influencing merchandising employees.

Off –Site/In-Store Service

  • Enthusiastically represent Keoghs’s Crisps, engage shoppers and share key messages about Keogh’s products to create a “buzz” to gain attention
  • Acknowledge and greet all stakeholders; offer friendly, and courteous service.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Interface with existing customer base, maintains active contact with a growing preferred customer list and follow-up with customer inquiries.
  • Inform all stakeholders of promotions, events and services within the store.
  • Ensure that all merchandise, testers and demonstration stations are maintained and set to company standard.
  • Maintain and secure incremental POS placements.
  • Send relevant / interesting photographs to the Marketing team for the inclusion on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.
  • Selling creative displays to customers to be placed at optimal locations with the stores to maximize sales.
  • Building product displays in support of promotional activity to increase sales.
  • Set up & Breakdown of event equipment.

Other Aspects

  • There is a requirement to present a professional appearance, including wearing specifically required apparel (some events are outdoors).
  • Ability to drive to multiple locations throughout a regular work day.
  • Work requires long periods of walking, standing, bending or carrying moderately items (2 – 15kg).
  • Extended work schedule which may include some night, weekend and early morning hours.
  • Be willing to travel with mileage reimbursement
  • There is a requirement for employees to work weekends and bank holidays as the business requires.
  • There is a requirement that all staff be available to work for the entire months of November and December. During this time no annual leave will be granted, only in exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of the employer.
  • Full, clean driver’s licence is essential.

The role involves working on the production line, checking the quality of our products,in line with company standards. Working as part of a team, you will be applying practical skills, working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail with full concentration at all times.

 

REPORTING TO:   Pack House Manager and Inspection Supervisor

 

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE

  • Working on the Potato inspection line, you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification product.
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Reporting and addressing issues of quality and safety.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times; identifying any risks/hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Pack House Managers.
  • Ensuring the workstation is kept in excellent order with regards to housekeeping.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from the production facility as required.
  • General Pack House duties.
