Sustainability
Sustainability is important to us.
Our family has been farming the rich fertile lands of North County Dublin for over 200 years and it is our job to protect our land and soil for future generations to come. Sustainability is at the heart of how we grow and it has become an integral part of how we do business and how we plan for our future.
We are committed to being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us, supporting thriving communities and producing high-quality products in a way that respects people and the planet.
We are Gold Members of Origin Green, Ireland’s national food and drink sustainability programme. We were delighted to be awarded Gold Membership status as we demonstrated an exemplary performance against our sustainability targets as we strive to respect our environment and serve our local communities more effectively.
Building on our heritage as a family farming business, our sustainability strategy is focused on the areas where we believe we can make the greatest positive impact.
Our Sustainability Strategy
Our sustainability work is structured across four pillars: Sustainable Agriculture, Thriving Community & People, Resource Efficient Operations and Quality Products. Together, they reflect what it means to be a responsible food business; one that is good for the land, good for the people around us and good for the people who eat our crisps.
Origin Green
As a proud member of Origin Green, Ireland’s national food and drink sustainability programme, we are committed to continuously improving the environmental performance of our business. We are currently in the final year of our five-year sustainability action plan, which includes ambitious targets across key areas such as raw materials and supplier certification, packaging, energy and emissions, waste, water stewardship, biodiversity, product health and nutrition, community engagement and employee wellbeing.

Looking Forward
We are a 200-year-old business with a lot still to do. The next generation of Keoghs will farm this land, run this factory, and – we hope – continue to raise the bar on what a responsible food business looks like.
This is an ongoing story. One where generations to come will benefit from a cleaner environment, both at home and abroad.
