Purpose of the Role

We are currently recruiting for a General Operative/Product Inspection role at our Potato Pack House in Westpalstown, Oldtown, Co. Dublin.

The role involves working on the production line and inspecting and checking the quality of our products in line with company standards. Working as part of a team, you will apply practical skills while working quickly, accurately and with excellent attention to detail.

Reporting to: Pack House Manager and Inspection Supervisor

Key Areas of the Role

  • Working on the potato inspection line, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Rejecting out-of-specification products.
  • Ensuring products conform to the required specifications.
  • Reporting and addressing quality and safety issues.
  • Following all Health and Safety procedures and adhering to the company’s Safety Statement at all times.
  • Identifying risks, hazards or faulty equipment and reporting them to the Pack House Manager or Supervisor.
  • Ensuring the workstation is kept in excellent order with regard to housekeeping.
  • Sweeping, mopping and removing debris from the production facility as required.
  • Carrying out general Pack House duties.

Essential Requirements

  • Flexibility to work overtime and bank holidays when required.
  • Previous manual work experience.
  • Own transport, as no public transport is available in the area.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • A good understanding of the English language.
  • An excellent work ethic.
